John and Wendy

Let us introduce outselves

Our names are John and Wendy Burke and we have had The Waggon and Horses for 22 years. John blames me for taking on The Waggon as when we walked in to look around, it felt like a place I could make into home and I hope we have succeeded.

We normally have live music every Friday night  and it is definitely the best place to spend your Friday evening.

Sunday lunchtimes and Wednesday evenings we serve our famous "Just like Mum used to make" roast dinner and booking is now a must as we sell out very fast.

We also have our Waggon Pub Classics Menu and takeaway pizza's and burgers.

We have a function room with it's own bar. Ideal for parties and medium sized wedding receptions.

The Waggon is also the home of The Waggoneers MCC motor cycle club. They raise a lot of money for charity and have just passed the £33,000 mark! They also hold their annual Sping Bash in aid of The Air Ambulance in the Waggon car park where there is live music all day with stalls, BBQ etc.

The Waggon had the reputation for being a rough pub when we moved in and not the place to go in but we hope we have changed that and made it into a welcoming place to have a pint and a bite to eat.

So why not come in and meet us, we are quite nice really and hopefully you will come again.

Looking forward to seeing you.

John and Wendy
